Of course, I had to start by checking out the Dollar Spot. I mean, is it really a trip to Target without stopping by there? *wink* I found three items that jumped out at me: a mouse pad, glitter tattoos for Halloween and a Halloween game called Find It Fast (similar to Spot It). The mouse pad was one of those things that I've really been meaning to get but I completely forget about when I'm at the store. So when I saw this pretty silver one with 'Consider the Possibilities' on it for just $3, I had to grab it.
After leaving the Dollar Spot, I wandered over towards the office supplies and crafts area. I've found a lot of great stuff on the endcaps which are often clearance and this time was no exception. I had to do a little digging, but I found these awesome oil-based paint pens from Sharpie. They only had the pink and blue available but at $.76 each, I couldn't say no! These pens are usually about 3x as much for just one. I use these pens when I make my DIY Sharpie Mugs. The oil-based paint pens stay on the ceramic a lot better than just regular Sharpies. I'm excited to try these colors out on some new mugs or plates. Plus, they make for great gifts!
The last thing I grabbed were these gel ink pens. For as long as I can remember, I've had a pen fetish. I love buying pens in all different colors. (Remember Jelly Roll pens??) I picked these up because I've been looking for some fun colored ink pens that won't glob or smear when I write with them and supposedly these pens dry "3x faster for reduced smearing". So I tried them out and guess what? They don't smear! They dried so fast and I'm actually really impressed. I may have just found my new favorite pens. Now I need them in all. the. colors. *wink*
So what do you think about what I got? I'd have to say that the amount of stuff I was able to get for $10 surprised even me! It was definitely a good $10 at Target shop.

ReplyDeleteI could totally do this challenge. Target has TONS of great, cheap stuff in their dollar spot! I definitely want to get those pens!
ReplyDeleteThe dollar spot is my total weakness for seasonal decor, but I've found if you dig around in the seasonal area in the back, you'll find even cuter stuff around the same price!
